Northampton Somali Girls Basket Ball

I am proud of the girls in the Somali Community. Northampton Somali girls play basket ball in the Arab Olympics this month in Sharika, Dubai.
Northampton Somali Women and Girls Association have been invited to participate in this prestigious competition by the Arab Olympic Games committee.
Spokeswoman, Shukri Dhaibaas, says, "We accepted this invitation with pleasure. The tickets and all accommodation is paid for by the committee. Our girls are an award winning team. They played in Doha last year coming second in the whole competition. This year we expect to come first. The girls mostly are from Northampton and Wellingborough. They  practice at the Springs Family Centre and Lings. They are very skilled. Hungry to win and will help put Northampton on the International map."  I look forward to the competition and I will share the results with you here.
