Castle residents hit by 21% hike in Council Tax

I represent one of the most deprived wards. People in my ward will be badly affected by this proposal.

They are already struggling with stagnant wages, zero hour contracts, struggling to pay their bills and put food on the table.

They will be caught by a double whammy. An increase in Council tax for all and an additional increase for those on benefit. This hits working families really badly. The increase for them amounts overall to 21%. This is grossly unfair. I urge the portfolio for finance to reconsider his position and come up with a better plan.
